- Process mushrooms, onion, and garlic in a blender until mixture is pureed. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan over medium warmth. Cook and stir the mushroom paste inside the melted butter until smooth.
- Melt 2 more tablespoons butter in a separate saucepan over medium warmth; progressively sprinkle flour into the melted butter, stirring constantly. Whisk half-and-half into the flour paste; cook and stir until the sauce is thick and clean, four to five mins. Whisk mushroom combination into sauce and prepare dinner till sauce has thickened a chunk extra, about 10 mins. Stir cheese into the sauce; prepare dinner until the cheese melts, 2 to a few minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
